Little Dude - Brandon
A little bit about Brandon and how he got started. Brandon started racing motorcross at the local tracks . He started on an XR75 Honda vintage 1974. He quickly convinced Dad he was good enough to move on so Dad got him a 2000 KTM 65SX. He had several podium finishes his first series but didnt get the top 3 for the series. His second time around he really picked it up. Brandon finished 3rd or better in 7 of 8 races earning him a second for the series and a huge trophy. That series included several accidents and 1 trip to the hospital so Dad decided that 4 wheels were safer than 2.
In comes Grandprix Raceway one of our sponsors at this time. Indoor karting turned out to be just the thing. Brandon caught on fast and soon joined in on league night. He won several times and at one time set a track record. Brandon also won the 2006 Indoor Karting Championship for the 11-15 year old 200cc class. Dave Lehmann the owner of Grandprix Raceway is the 2004 yamaha roadrace national champion. He urged Brandon to get into outdoor karting which we did. GPR is now helping with set up and coaching Brandons driving. This has been invaluable in getting Brandon and Team LDR to the front.
