All drivers move up a class for 2007 season
06/09/07

The season has begun with checkered flags for Team LDR ........ Kyle W. wins the first 2 starts ever in his junior 1 yamaha kart . Its looking like its going to be a very good year for our young drivers in there second year out . All 4 drivers moved up in classes , Brandon and Kyle B. moved up in engine size to Rotax 125 junior max engines with kyle also upgrading to a crg chassis . Both Desirea and Kyle W. also moved up in engine size and both have bigger chassis they are getting used to.

They are both running the yamaha kt100 engine in the junior 1 class and Brandon and Kyle B. are in the jr2 tag class.

Kyle W. has started the year winning both club races to date showing that his time in a kid kart was well spent finding the best lines to take advantage of . His ability to not get distracted by other drivers trying to make a move on him has been extremely impressive . We look to see him just get stronger as the year continues and maybe there is a chance we can get him on the regional tour next year ????

Desirea has also been in the mix in the front several times but because of racing accidents has been held up . She is now in 4th in points and coming on hard , we all know she is very fast and just needs that bit of luck to keep away from the bump from behind to keep on track .Her adjustment to a bigger chassis and much faster engine has been very impressive Watch out junior 1 drivers hear comes lightning girl.

Kyle B. is now running a CRG chassis with a Rotax jrmax engine . He is running the JR2 TAG division , Like Desirea Kyle is having to get used to not only the bigger engine but also a larger chassis and learning it very quickly . Kyle has been held up in traffic several times but has shown the patience to get through it and is currently in the 4 spot in points . Look for Kyle to make his way to the front again this year.

Brandon also moved to a rotax jr max engine for the tag jr2 class at the club and will also be running the regional.

Rotax Max Challenge in the Roatx Junior class . He has taken both poll spots for the first 2 club races of the year and placed a respectable 3rd and 2nd on the year so far . In Brandons second year on the regional tour he looks to improve his 2nd place gold cup finish and 3rd place regional standings from last year.

Season Wrap Up
12/01/06

This karting season can be described no other way than spectacular. All 4 LDR drivers were rookies and all 4 performed above expectations. Both of our Kid Kart drivers, Kyle W. and Desiree, are possibly moving up to JR 1 class. They were both dominant in Kid Karts showing the skills to be able to move up next year. JR 1 will be a fun class to watch, kyle and desiree will do extremely well!

Kyle B. in his rookie year is our most improved driver starting the seasons first races at the rear with the orange plate on it, to winning 2 heat races and finishing 3rd in the last regional race of the year. Kyle finished 4th in overall points for PGSKA club racing and 8th out of 15 for the region 6 races even though he only attended 2 races for the region. We want to thank Kyle for all the help and encouragement during the year, he has proved to be an incredible young man and an assett to LDR. Thank you Kyle!

Brandon although he had no feature wins was very consistent in his finishes. Brandon was able to finish in 2nd overall in the gold cup and 3rd overall in the region and 3rd in the club. Brandon also recieved the most promising 2 cycle driver of the year award at the regional awards banquet. We are very excited about the coming Karting season, Brandon hopes to have a dominant year in the junior supersportsman class. Thanks to all the put crews and families for a GREAT Karting year for LDR.

This last race weekend was exciting if not to exciting. One of LDR's drivers, Kyle Beyers was literally run over by another kart in the first turn of race #2. He has a burnout mark on his hand to prove it, as well as a cut steering wheel and broken spark plug. on a better note Kyle set his fastest lap and had is best finish. Good Job Kyle !!!!

Kyle and Desirea both in the bambino class had great days , Desirea ( lightning girl ) had a little bumping action in the final race but came through ok and Kyle ( shark boy ) had clean running through all races.

Brandon finished third for the day and moved into 3rd in the points standings. He had some set up problems that slowed him through the day but in the main was running good. Brandon made a risky move on the final lap to move to the third position and getting him 3rd for the day. It was the mid season drawing day for a bike in each of the junior classes, Brandon got lucky and won a mongoose mountain bike for his division.
